General Information

Since 1994, the Walker Art Center has been the innovative leader in teen programming, providing cultural institutions around the world with a successful model for engaging teenagers. The mission of Teen Programs is to connect teenagers to contemporary art and artists. The Walker was the first art museum in the country to devote full-time staff to working with and building teen audiences.

Justice Jam Day long festival celebrating activism at the U and around the Twin Cities Saturday, May 3rd, 2008, 2pm-10pm Gateway Plaza, McNamara Alumni Center front plaza, U of M (outdoors, 200 Oak St. SE, Mpls, MN)

Featuring: Heiruspecs and White Light Riot With: Kanser w/More than Lights, Truthmaze (Tru Ruts), Indigo, St. Paul Slim, Muja Messiah, Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles, GENA, plus poetry by MN Spoken Word Association Street Skateboard demo by 3rd Lair and Cal Surf Concessions provided by Duffy’s Pizza (Dinkytown) – Vegan options A “ Green” Event Free and open to all Part of Actifest – www.actifest.org

They will also be providing paint and assembling a free standing wall for YOU to come paint on! They are planning on putting up several 4×8 plywood panels(in a row), of which artists will be able to keep if they so wish.
