Nothing to do with the quality or substance of the show as far as I'm concerned.

I didn't post because I didn't see it. I didn't see it because I didn't get a ticket. I didn't get a ticket because I was under the mistaken impression that one would be provided for me as a blogger for the Walker. I wished I had managed to make things work so I could have seen it after my mistake was made clear. However I did manage to arrange my life so that I can see "Hey Girl!" and I plan on posting something about that.

I am a little perplexed as to why there were so many comments about the various Out There performances and this dance performance (which was certainly appreciated, praised and applauded beyond any I heard in January) has but 1 posting and 2 comments.

I'm actually less fascinated as time has passed. I also feel a little guilty about mentioning age. And Bob Dole.

I also fell in love with the FASE performance, in part awed by the history behind it and her foreign status. Its only natural to find objects, concepts, dances, people that are from another place or time more interesting than that which we have here already. I suppose it means Minneapolis is blessed with amazing choreographers that I am not always surprised or awed at every turn.

The sneakers were very necessary and so fantastic.

I was struck by the power of two people, committed fully to the same place and movement for such a time. One without the other would have created something completely different. Even in the Piano movement, her dual shadows on the screen caught me most.
Why is duality so necessary? One foot goes up, the arm must come down or something is lost.

Our brains need balance, the show left me feeling very straight forward, direct as well as a little swimming.
