The TEAM is without a doubt the best contemporary piece of theater I have seen to date. Not only does it have the unique ability to instill a vast range of emotions on the audience, but it also finds a balance between order and chaos. The use of viewpoints in this work is unmistakably vital, and the cast utilizes them to their full effect. It is amazing how easily one is fooled into believing that they are watching a show where half the cast is composed of children and preteens. Another factor that made this performance unforgettable was the unique use of the audience. Not only was blocking extended into the audience, but it actually encouraged audience participation. From singing and asking questions, to eating popcorn and throwing eggs, this show brings to mind a question of who is the audience and who is the performer. This show truly kept you guessing and on your toes, and I greatly encourage all to see this show, even if it means driving to the TEAMS next venue.
