Local TV station WCCO gives a sneak peak at artist Ben Rubin’s electronic light sculpture being installed on the elevators of the new Minneapolis Central Library. Opening next weekend, the Cesar Pelli-designed building will include LED lights on exterior elevator shafts. As the lifts go up and down, they act as a cursor, spelling out titles of books in the collection letter by letter. For another view of the library, check out Ed Fink’s 360-degree panorama. (While you’re there, don’t miss his panororama of the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.)
