Late last summer we reported on Jen, a homesick Minneapolitan transplanted to North Carolina. Her Spoonbridge and Cherry themed tattoo was just an outline then. Now Jen writes in with an update and a photo of the finished piece:
The ink work was done by Annie Rubinstein of Tattoo Devil Studios in Raleigh and the artwork was done by Bart Cusick, also of Raleigh. The tattoo is actually a different version of one done by Tom at Uptown Tattoo. I have to give credit to where it belongs! It is amazing how people from so far away recognize the Cherry and Spoon Bridge as a symbol of the Twin Cities. Even people that have never been there have come up to me and asked me what the city life is like “up there where everything if frozen all year.” So there you have it, my replication of a replication of a symbol of home.
