I realize this is old news but I just had someone ask me about it so I guess not everyone knows. The standard install of Internet Explorer on Windows will only let you have one version on your machine. Meaning if you have IE 6 you can not test with IE 5. There is stand alone browser you can download and use for testing. The best place I’ve found to get it is on the evolt browser archive

  1. Hmm… I’m not quite sure how the Evolt stand along browsers compared with another set that I’ve used from skyzyx.com — I remember his posting (referencing an original HowTo posting) from way back that pretty much packaged everything nice and neat for everyone to download.

    I think they are pretty much the same thing if not exactly the same. I’ve just come to rely on the browser archive as a stable place to find archived browsers and information. The skyzyx link does have a lot of good info on it though. I guess I forgot about that in my original post.
