[Too loud for my ears, which have not been conditioned to those levels of sound.] Turns out there were quite a few empty seats, so we could have arrived at last minute, but of course did not know that ahead. [We did make productive use of the half hour between picking up tickets at 1830 and 2000, by strolling through the great outdoor sculpture garden.] Perhaps a good compromise would be to offer half the tickets online, at a nominal charge to discourage no-shows (perhaps $1.00 or $0.50 each). Even better would be to offer selection of seats for those. General admission seats would still be available on first-come, first serve basis for those who prefer that. We want to make sure that the tickets get picked up by folks that can and will use them in hopes of not turning people away when there are empty seats in the Cinema. Getting off one's backside means a bit more commitment to showing up and filling the limited seats that are available. It would be even better if we could secure the free tickets online, to avoid having to come early to minimize risk of not getting in for the film.
